We are looking for a Front End Developer with proven creative, and detail-oriented user experience and design skills. The candidate will be responsible for understanding the client’s goals, user needs, and technology to create an optimal user experience and design. They will be interfacing with internal and external clients to gather requirements for a web-based application with a national user base. The candidate will be responsible for updates to the existing application, while proposing new and forward thinking ways to enhance the user experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interface with internal and external clients to gather requirements for web based solutions.

• Detailed wireframes, site maps, user flow diagrams, functional specifications, and resulting designs

• Collaborating with developers and working in small cross functional teams

• Ability to diagnose, prioritize, and solve problems proactively

Job Requirements

• BA/BFA, Graphic Design, Web Design, or related field. Ability to convey design concepts to internal teams and clients through design compositions, working prototypes and style guides. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a related role.

• Strong expertise in interface design principles, including color theory, interactivity, and typography

• Experience with usability tests, interviews, and focus groups

• Strong skillsets in web technologies like Javascript, Angular, node.Js, Spring Boot, Java, HTML5 and CSS

• Knowledge with Wordpress, Drupal or other CMS

• Understanding of web standards, accessibility guidelines, section 508

• Experience with responsive/adaptive design, designing high-visibility web and mobile sites/applications including small screen format visual designs

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Drupal, PHP, or other various languages
• Experience with projects hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 5 Public Trust Clearance
